Nitesh Pandey on his show Indiawaali Maa, “You’re never too old to need your mother”

Actor Nitesh Pandey has entertained us with multiple roles in both the film and television industry. The actor is known to have played some iconic roles and is all set to return on television in a new avatar with Indiawaali Maa. He will be seen playing the role of Hasmukh on the show and has spoken in detail as to how his role is different from the previous ones and how the show highlights the importance of a mother.

1. Tell us about your upcoming show, Indiawaali Maa?

Indiawaali Maa is a show which depicts how a mother knows everything her child feels and she wants to be there with him through thick and thin. A very endearing story of Kaku’s journey to help her son Rohan reshape his dreams, will touch the viewers’ hearts and every single person with a mother/mother figure can relate to this show. Like rightly said in the promo, ever since you were a child, you turn towards your mother for all the things you found impossible at the time. Mothers are the superwomen with no cape, but they have a solution for everything. Even if Kaku can’t give Rohan a solution, she is determined do everything in her power to soothe him down and help him through a difficult storm. Though Rohan feels he can sail through every situation because he has grown up now, but the fact is “You’re never too old to need your mother”. Indiawaali Maa is an ode to motherhood.

2. Tell us about your character, Hasmukh?

A chilled-out father and a loving husband, Hasmukh has given his best to try to provide the best for his family. He’s a very practical person who keeps convincing his wife that his son might have forgotten his parents, but Kaku keeps calling him in disbelief that her son is distant. He is prudent and witty, yet romantic. Going for yoga with Kaku and giving all that she desires is what drives him. He couldn’t be a role model for his son, but did his best to provide for his education in US

3. How is this role different from anything that you have done before?

I have played various roles and I have also played father before, but none of them are as liberal and practical as Hasmukh. Hasmukh is very close to my heart because just from the promo you can see how he has given his son the freedom to make his own decisions and learn from his own mistakes in life. Fathers are usually supposed to be the strict ones and the disciplinarians in the family, but Hasmukh is a very contemporary and a forward-looking father.

4. Do you relate to Hasmukh in real life?

Hasmukh is a witty, strong headed yet a lovable character. He loves his wife Kaku dearly and he has done everything in his power to provide everything for his son Rohan. But the quality that we share is his practicality towards life. Realist by nature, he sees life as it is and tries to make the best of every situation.

5. How is your rapport with your co-stars?

Rapport with co-stars is fantastic, we had a great time and always appreciate each other work. Suchita is a very cooperative co-actor and we have a ball while shooting. We do have a funny relationship off camera too where we burst out into fits of random laughter after completing some scenes because I tend to crack a joke before the scene commences. It’s great to have a good rapport with your co-stars.

The show, Indiawali Maa airs on August 31.

Singer, actress, former VJ Sophie Choudry took up the ‘100 squat challenge’ initiated by fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala. Being a fitness enthusiast and a ‘Pilates Girl’, Sophie gave the challenge her little twist by doing the challenge 200 times instead of 100.

To which, Yasmin Karachiwala replied, “Outstanding Soph, you've shown more variations, proud of you ????????”.

If that isn’t motivation enough, Sophie took up the challenge despite troubles in her right knee. She wrote, “If you have knee issues, wider squats are better for you, or toes turned out at least. My right knee has been troubling me a bit but am pushing through????????”

Our source confirms that the global YRF Project 50 plan will be announced once Aditya Chopra evaluates where the world is heading post-COVID-19. “These are big plans that will evoke a lot of nostalgia around brand YRF and its movies. Director G.Ashok, who's currently busy with his feature film Durgavati starring Bhumi Pednekar has collaborated with Mansi Bagla and have purchased rights of three super hit South Indian films for Hindi Remakes. These films have already had a proven track record in the South markets and will now be remade into Hindi features.  Preparation has begun and these films will be on floor as soon as possible. This news comes as a pleasant surprise for the Industry as the ongoing pandemic has pushed the entertainment into a lull.

Durgavati Director G. Ashok teams up with Mansi Bagla; to purchase rights of three super hit South films for Bollywood remake

Mansi is simultaneously gearing up for her directorial debut with a Marathi film, which will be a remake of 2017 super hit Telugu romantic comedy- Ninnu Kori which will be produced by G. Ashok.

They are also working on developing a Horror- comedy story with writer director Raaj Shaandilyaa (Dream Girl). It was Mansi’s idea to bring Raj & G. Ashok together as one is the King of comedy and other is the King in the horror genre.

Mansi Bagla & renowned film-maker G. Ashok have collaborated together under the banner of Mini Films and have purchased rights of three super hit South Indian films for Hindi Remakes. These films have already had a proven track record in the South markets and will now be remade into Hindi features. Ashok is also currently busy with the Hindi film, remake of Bhaagamathie-Durgavati starring Bhumi Pednekar, Mansi is simultaneously gearing up for her directorial debut with a Marathi film, which will be a remake of 2017 super hit Telugu romantic comedy- Ninnu Kori. Speaking about the new spate of developments in her fledgling production house Mansi quipped, "Acquiring rights of three south films and contemplating my directorial debut has not happened overnight. It’s the result of a robust groundwork along with my team for years. I am not backed by any insider or outsider and I have come till here on my own with my hard work, dedication, and perseverance. I want to be known because of my skills and I am ready to work 24x7 with good collaborations. I have prepared myself and done my homework. I am not here to make B & C grade films just to see my name on the screen. I could have done that long back, I want to make and work on quality cinema."

On her collaboration with G. Ashok, Mansi said, "I fell in love with cinema at a really young age and direction has been my dream forever. Learning has always been important for me, and I have met so many directors and writers, all noticed the hunger and passion inside me which doubled my confidence. G. Ashok Sir showed me a way and under his training and mentorship, today I am all ready to direct my first film. The content in Marathi industry is very rich and stories are told true to form. After meeting G. Ashok sir I firmed up my decision because I know he will guide me in the right direction. He is my brother and I consider him as a mentor. Through my journey I have met many directors and writers but it is his push which gave me the confidence to embark on a directorial journey. Every conversation with him is a learning experience and I’m extremely grateful for this positive association. At a time when the industry is already grappling with the pandemic and negativity stemming from the ongoing debate on nepotism one can get swayed easily. Akshay Kumar and Bear Grylls go on a mad adventure in the trailer of Man vs Wild 

The popular Discovery's adventure show Man Vs Wild, that featured Prime Minister Narendra Modi last year and superstar Rajinikanth this year, will feature Akshay Kumar in the upcoming episode. In January this year, Akshay filmed the episode with the show’s host Bear Grylls at Bandipur in Mysore.

Sharing the trailer of the episode, Akshay tweeted, “I visualized stiff challenges prior to #IntoTheWildWithBearGrylls but @bearGrylls completely surprised me with the elephant poop tea. What a day @DiscoveryIn @DiscoveryPlusIn.”

In the trailer, Akshay is seen doing some stunts in water whilst surrounded by crocodiles, drink elephant tea, do rope climbing amongst various mad adventure things.

Akshay Kumar, on the work front, has two releases this year – Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi and Laxmmi Bomb.

The family has repeatedly accused Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty of administering the wrong medicines to him when in fact Sushant’s family was not only aware of his psychological struggles, they were also aware of the medicines that were being given to Sushant for his mental condition.

A Whatsapp chat between Sushant’s sister and Sushant’s manager reveals that a prescription of the medicines for Sushant for various serious mental illnesses was sent to the sister. If this is an authentic conversation, why is the family repeatedly saying that they had no knowledge of Sushant’s mental conflicts and that all his problems, psychological and financial surfaced only after Rhea came into Sushant’s life?

Why is the family so wary of taking responsibility for their only son’s struggle with paranoia and isolation in his final days? Rhea left Sushant when, apparently, she couldn’t handle his deteriorating mental health. Wasn’t it right for Sushant’s family to rush and salvage the situation in Sushant’s life?

While Sushant was in and out of hospitals, his father apparently sent a text to Rhea asking for an air ticket so he could visit his son.

Does this sound like a family where the scion is staring at self-destruction? Does this family even acknowledge that their son was in the need of serious care? Could it be that the narrative of a very popular very healthy very intelligent man who was honey trapped by a gold digger, not only makes great TRPs but also serves as great alibi for those who failed in their duty as family?

The chat reads that Shruti had sent across a medical prescription that had medicines like, Serta, Clonotril, Oleanz, and Qutipin. Along with the medicines’ names, Shruti had also sent across the contact of a certain Dr. Susan Walker Psychotherapy. These chats refute the claim of Sushant’s family being unaware of his mental health.

As of now, the CBI is investigating the case while the Narcotics department is looking through the drug angle in the case and the Enforcement Directorate looks at the financial aspect.

Karanvir Singh Bohra on his lockdown baby

After Kareena and Saif Ali Khan, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli it is TV stars Teejay Sidhu and Karanvir Vohra who have announced the impending arrival of a lockdown baby. Karanvir shyly admits that the lockdown was responsible for his wife’s pregnancy. “I think the lockdown was the biggest reason for the baby. There was nothing else to do except being with the family and working out. There was time together at home. It just happened.”

Karanvir knows it will be hard handling three children. “It’s going to be very stormy life hereon. But we are very excited. People are telling us we should be looking forward to a boy after two girls. But my wife and I are way too spiritual to look at a new life in our home through the gender lens. For us the baby to come is a child per se. Boy or girl, it doesn’t matter.”

The TV actor and now director feels the new child has a reason to come into his life. “My wife Teejay and I are very connected on this issue. We feel this new life wants to come to earth and it has chosen us as parents. So we welcome it, who are we to stop it?”

Karanvir, his wife Teejay and twin girls are looking forward Vienna and Raya Bella are looking forward to the new arrival. “We are very excited to have another life in our lives. When my wife and I had our twin girls our love was divided between the two girls. But now all of us will shower our love on this new soul in our lives.”

Currently, CBI is investigating the untimely demise and the case has been filed against Rhea and her family. Recently, Rhea did a sit-down interview where she spoke about various allegations levelled against her.

After watching the interview, South actress Lakshmi Manchu said that she was pained by the media trial. “I thought a lot about if I should respond or not. I have complete trust in the judiciary system and all the agencies that are involved in bringing justice to Sushant,” she wrote in a long note.

Responding to her note, Taapsee Pannu said, "I didn’t know Sushant on a personal level nor do I know Rhea but what I know is, it only takes to be a human to understand how wrong it is to overtake the judiciary to convict someone who isn’t proven guilty. Trust the law of the land for your sanity and the deceased’s sanctity."

Himansh thanked the “government authorities for all the help and the advice. Hats off to all the people working hard to make sure we all are safe. I hope we come out of it and recover very soon.”

“I am taking care of myself and my family members. In the meanwhile, safeguard your family and ensure that they are taking all precautions. Even the slightest bit of carelessness can be harmful. But, please don’t be scared, a sane mind deals with all the problems better. Wishing all of you good health and lots of love,” Kohli wrote on Instagram.

On the work front, Himansh Kohli last starred in Ranchi Diaries with Taaha Shah and Dil Jo Na Keh Saka opposite Priya Banerjee.

BREAKING: Yash Raj Films to produce Tiger Shroff’s Rambo for Rohit Dhawan and Siddharth Anand?

Some days back, it was revealed that Rohit Dhawan has replaced Siddharth Anand as the director for the official Indian adaptation of the Hollywood cult franchise, Sylvester Stallone’s Rambo. The Hindi version will be led by Tiger Shroff, who is all charged up to step into his idol’s shoes. Bollywood Hungama has now exclusively learnt that the Rambo remake will be produced by the number one production house of India, Yash Raj Films.

“Siddharth Anand had the rights of Rambo for a while now and always had the plans of spinning a desi version with Tiger. However, the film kept getting delayed, first due to War and then due to his upcoming venture Pathan which is a battle royal between Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. Sid has a deal with YRF and with not enough time in his hands to direct Rambo, he decided to partner with YRF to spin a franchise with Tiger Shroff,” a source told Bollywood Hungama. Sid has already signed a multi-film deal with the production house and the association on Rambo has just strengthened their bond further. “It will be a co-production of YRF and Sid, with the latter being involved in script and other creative aspects of the film too. The studio is in talks with Rohit to helm the franchise, however the young director is yet to sign on for the film.”

The source also shared that there is a lot of time before Rambo goes on the floors as Tiger will wrap up a two films including Heropanti 2 before moving on to Rambo. “The earliest it can go on the floors is by the end of 2021, as even Rohit has to finish his next family entertainer with Kartik Aaryan, which kicks off in February. Only after that will he move on to Rambo,” the source shared. Rambo is Sid and Tiger’s baby, which is the reason why both have partnered with the best in business, Yash Raj Films for the actioner. “After War, even YRF wanted to work with Tiger again, considering that he is one of the most bankable action stars in today’s time. Sid is tied up with too many things, and hence decided to pass on the baton to Rohit Dhawan, who is his friend. Next one year will be consumed in Pathan, following which he will move on to scripting War 2.”

Like the original, even Desi Rambo will be a multi-film franchise, with some unheard action scenes mounted on a huge scale. “It’s a massive franchise, no doubts. However, this one won’t be a part of YRF Project 50. The announcement will be made next year only once the director and script is locked. Right now it’s in the early stage of discussion.” In the other news, YRF Project 50 announcement is expected to be made on September 27.

Pooja Bhatt and Ranvir Shorey dated for a while before getting engaged. Reportedly, Shorey was also friends with Manish Makhija whom Pooja married in 2003. Responding to a tweet that had photos of Pooja and Manish, Ranvir said, "This guy in the photos used to be my best friend right up until after the incident, and then turned around and married her. All kinds of relationships are manipulated and psychological warfare used."

Pooja Bhatt and Manish Makhija parted ways in 2014 but yet to be legally separated. Ranvir Shorey eventually married Konkona Sena Sharma and they have a son together. The couple got divorced in 2020.

MTV VMAs 2020 Winners: BTS, Lady Gaga, The Weeknd win big at MTV Video Music Awards

The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards kicked off on Sunday, August 30. It was different from previous years. Adhering to social distancing guidelines, the stages were set at different locations in New York City for safety purposes.

BTS made a clean sweep by winning all four awards they were nominated in - Best Group, Best K-pop, and Best Pop for 'ON' - a song in Korean, Best Choreography - 'ON' making history again at VMAs 2020. Lady Gaga took home Artist Of The Year, Best Collaboration, Song Of The Year. She became the first-ever recipient of the TRICON Award. The Weeknd took home Best R&B and Video Of The Year.

BTS bring a lot of funk and soul with 'Dynamite' performance at VMAs 2020, make history with multiple wins

The widely popular group BTS made their long-awaited debut at the Video Music Awards 2020 on August 30, 2020. After releasing the latest hit single 'Dynamite' on August 21 and breaking multiple records over the last few days, the seven members - RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook - made their way to the VMAs for an explosive performance.

Dressed in classic suits, jackets and vests, bringing the bell-bottoms back with slick hair and beautiful visuals, BTS performed from Seoul, South Korea as the Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, the Empire State Building among other New York spots were seen as the backdrop. The choreography was so on point as always and their sharp performance lit up the stage. The song finds the superstars spreading joy and happiness as they croon "'Cause I, I, I'm in the stars tonight / So watch me bring the fire and set the night alight (Hey) / Shining through the city with a little funk and soul / So I'ma light it up like dynamite, woah-oh-oh."

On the awards side, the group was nominated in four categories and won Best Group, Best K-pop, and Best Pop for 'ON' - a song in Korean making history again at VMAs 2020.

'Dynamite' broke many records including racking up 101.1 million views in 24 hours making it the first music video to do so in Youtube history. The song has also ranked No. 1 in more than 100 countries already becoming BTS' fifth song to achieve this milestone after 'Black Swan', 'Moon', 'My Time', and 'Your Eyes Tell'. Their song 'Filter' has also received No. 1 in countries.

A photo of actress Kangana Ranaut happily posing with her sister Rangoli Chandel and producer Sandip Ssingh is doing the rounds on the internet. On June 14, when Sushant Singh Rajput passed away, Sandip Ssingh posted an emotional note in memory of the actor and said that Ankita Lokhande was the only one who could have saved him. 

Sandip Ssingh had shared a long emotional post describing the bond he shared with the late actor and Ankita Lokhande. “I know that only you could've saved him. I wish you both got married as we dreamt. You could've saved him if he just let you be there...You were his girlfriend, his wife, his mother, his best friend forever. I love you Ankita. I hope I never lose a friend like you. I won't be able to take it,” he wrote in his post addressing to Ankita.

Back then Rangoli Chandel took to her Instagram handle and even reposted Sandip's post and lauded him. Referring to his post, she wrote, "You are right, wish there was a way to block those blinding lights of show business and it’s fake promises, wish there was a way to block the mirage that movie mafia flash at every outsider who is loaded with talent, grit and ambition (sic)."

Meanwhile, the case is now also being probed by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after an alleged drug angle surfaced. There have been allegations against Sandip Ssingh of alleged drug links. Apart from that, the Maharashtra Government received requests to probe Ssingh's links with the BJP. Following this, Home Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh said on Saturday that he will forward all requests to investigate producer Sandip Ssingh’s alleged drug links to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Earlier, Rajput’s family’s lawyer, advocate Vikas Singh, mentioned that no one from SSR’s family knows Sandip Ssingh. Even Rhea Chakraborty said that she never saw Sandip or heard of him from the SSR in the last one year.
