Manoj Bajpayee is one of the finest actors of Indian cinema. However, his journey to success has not been an easy one. Bajpayee, who hails from a village in Bihar has faced several rejections before realising his dream. Life changed for him with the release of the 1998 film Satya. Today, the film completes 22 years of release and the actor took to his social media handle to celebrate the same.
Manoj Bajpayee shared a still from the film in which he played the iconic character- Bhiku Mhatre. “And my life changed...!!! Can’t forget the 3rd July 1998 ..monsoon..it was declared a flop and how it turned out to be biggest hit ..ran for 25 weeks..!!satya!!! Satya was a gangster drama directed by Ram Gopal Varma and written by Anurag Kashyap and Saurabh Shukla. Manoj was recognised for his craft and even won his first National Award for Best Supporting Actor. The film also starred Urmila Matondkar, Paresh Rawal and Saurabh Shukla.
